Death in the Highlands
Scotland. The birth place of haggis, whisky and the Loch Ness monster. A land of untamed beauty, wide open skies, seabird encrusted cliffs, sandy beaches and dark, foreboding mountains. A land that is rich in wildlife and colour, lochs, Highlands, Lowlands and islands.
Nestled amongst the Outer Hebrides in the far flung west, beyond the isle of Arran, lays the small, almost forgotten island of Swetta.
This rural community has enjoyed peace and tranquillity for many years. However, tonight, for the first time in 75 years, this island is involved in a scandal. Laird Glen Monarch, owner of almost half the island, has been found dead in his lounge, the victim of a horrific murder. What makes it worse is that the killer has to be someone here! But who?
How it works:
A participative murder mystery evening is an evening with a difference.
Rather than going out for a meal and being “entertained” by our professional team of actors, here YOU are the suspects!
Participative murder mysteries are great fun for those who love to “ham it up”. If you are chosen as a suspect on the evening you’ll be given your character booklet for the night which will contain any lines you must deliver. You’ll also be given information that your character knows about other suspects and background information you will be revealing about your character throughout the evening. If you need any props we’ll provide them too, all you need to do is turn up, in costume and be prepared for a great night out!
You will be led through the mystery by an inspector, who will be providing you with case information as the evening progresses, as well as helping you all to get in the mood. At the end of the night the inspector will also deliver a summary before you have to guess which of you did the dirty deed. Finally, at the end of the evening, the inspector will reveal all by providing the solution and arresting the guilty party! (Don’t worry – all arrested guests are returned!)

Characters in the game:
Dee Canter – Ex-wife.
Attractive but prickly, Dee Canter is a fiercely independent woman who was never well suited to being a laird’s wife.
Ben Nevis – Mountain Rescue team member.
A key member of the Mountain Rescue Team and an enthusiastic Munroe bagger, Ben Nevis is never without his hiking gear.
Toby Mory – Coach driver.
Full of enthusiasm and with nothing ever too much trouble, Toby is an exceptional tour guide and a real ladies man.
Logan Aire – Pilot.
Although he looks very smart in his captain’s uniform, Logan is, unfortunately, as unreliable as his island-hopping planes!
Iona Fiddle – Tour boat operator.
With binoculars ever to the ready, Iona Fiddle is one of the most gullible people on the island and is CONVINCED of the existence of various mythical beasts which are said to roam the islands.
Gaye Gordon – Schoolteacher.
With a kind manner and stunning good looks, it’s hardly surprising that the dad’s line up for Gaye’s parent’s evenings!
