Who are we?
Martyne Bell – Director of Mischief
Martyne trained in dance and theatre as a child, the makeup, the costumes and the buzz from live theatre had her hooked very early. She has performed in many amateur musicals, variety shows and pantos. As Director for College Players, she brought Jekyl & Hyde, Goodnight Mr Tom, The Railway Children and many others to the Stamford stage. She has also choreographed shows for schools including Oliver, Westside Story and Les Mis.
Martyne has performed in, organised and hosted Murder Mystery events for many years, for birthdays, dinner parties, fund raisers and as team building events. She would be delighted to be able to bring a little intrigue, fun and mischief to your event.
If she were a biscuit, her husband says she’d be a Viennese Whirl, sophisticated, and a little out of the ordinary.
James Bell – Director of Intrigue
Married to Martyne, James couldn’t help but get involved with local theatre. While he’s usually backstage ensuring everything runs smoothly – thanks to his project management and logistics background, he does occasionally tread the boards locally, performing in pantos and plays.
James has organised, hosted and performed in many Murder Mystery events over the years, including fundraisers, dinner parties and corporate events. He specialises in ensuring the events run smoothly, that everyone has a great time, and that the killer doesn’t escape.
If he were a biscuit, he would be a Jaffa Cake. But is it a biscuit or a cake – there’s a whole conversation right there – how intriguing!
